Our mission is to develop the eBook market by providing the best reading device to the final customer. Our eBook reading device is the result of years of development based on best-of-breed screen technologies along with optimized and innovative software interface.
Bookeen's philosophy
Our philosophy can be summarized in two words: "free" and "simple".
Free to choose your content with no limitation. As our device supports many digital formats, it offers you an access to a broad range of content from own generated text files to copyrighted bestsellers.
Simple as reading a book. On the Cybook, you don't need to convert your files to an exotic format or to upload them to any proprietary website. You just have to transfer your files directly to your device and read them.
Bookeen's history
After participating to the design of the first Cybook and its associated services for Cytale as early as 1998, Laurent Picard and Michaël Dahan created Bookeen in 2003 which has become the innovative supplier of eBook reading systems. During these years, Bookeen has gathered a unique experience in the eBook market with the sale of the first multi-format eBook reader directly targeted to the core eBook community.
