If Bookeen is acquired

The promises contained in this Privacy Statement will continue to apply to your personal information that is transferred to this new entity.

  1. What are Bookeen's retention practices?

Bookeen's services are based on the notion fundamental principle that the personal literary journey is not a one-time event and can continue for long periods of time, sometimes a lifetime. Accordingly, Bookeen's retention practices reflect these sustainability values by retaining user accounts on our system until our users notify us of their wish to delete their data or close their account.

Retention Period: Bookeen will retain the personal information you provide during your purchase until such time as you ask us to delete it.

Usage Information: In some cases, we choose to retain usage information (eg site visits) in an anonymized or aggregated form. Once aggregated, this information ceases to be personal and will no longer be subject to deletion requests from Bookeen users.

  1. How can I delete my personal information?

You can delete your information at Bookeen privacy by writing to bookeenprivacy@bookeen.com.

General Provisions : Please note that there may be a delay in deleting your personal information from our backup systems once we have deleted it from our production and development systems.

  1. Security

Bookeen has a comprehensive information security program designed to protect personal information personnel of our customers using administrative, physical and technical safeguards. The specific security measures used are based on the sensitivity of the personal information collected.
